DEN GLIMT JAG SÅG

Jag ber om detta             // Att mina ögon ska se

hela det flikade ljuset

Ett omöjligt norrsken

Det var den glimt jag såg

under de hypnagoga bildernas flöde

Fastän jag vet att de är värdelösa

om de inte har det osynliga korrelatet

Verklighetens helt utopiska närvaro,

  överallt

Poem by Göran Sonnevi from ”Trädet"

THE GLIMPSE I SAW

I ask for this                // That my eyes will see

the entire tabs of light

An impossible aurora borealis

That was the glimpse I saw

during the hypnagoga flow of the images

Although I know that they are worthless

if they do not have the invisible correlate

The totally utopian presence of reality,

                                     everywhere
